ABOUT US

"Lovely harmonies…their ingredients blend into a stew of just plain out

 good music” – Americana Highways

Austin-based quartet Sour Bridges have announced spring tour dates in support of their new album ‘Down And Out.’ The eleven-city tour will kick off in Austin, TX on April 13 at the Continental Club with additional stops in Brooklyn, NY; Nashville, TN; Little Rock, AR; Washington, DC; Asheville, NC; Memphis, TN and more. Co-produced by Sour Bridges and Grant Eppley, ‘Down and Out’ was recorded at Hen House Recording in Austin and features twelve original songs. With a diverse range of instruments including banjo, fiddle and mandolin, Sour Bridges infuse their music with a sense of nostalgia and toe-tapping rhythm. Known for their signature “browngrass”
blend of country, rock and bluegrass, this new project features those stylistic leanings along with soulful, emotive harmonies; sprawling arrangements and a knack for interspersing satire with clever songcraft. Check out the new video for the title track here. ‘Down And Out’ is available now on all streaming platforms.

Sour Bridges have built a reputation for their propulsive live performances and have shared the stage with Band Of Horses, Asleep At The Wheel, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jason Boland And the Stragglers and many more. They’ve also been regulars on the festival circuit including SXSW, Big Cabo Fest, Viva Big Bend Festival and Musikfest.

Formed in 2010, the genesis of Sour Bridges actually starts in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania.  That’s where Long Island-born Pucci and his brother, Matt (lead guitar, mandolin, vocals), were raised and taught themselves to play music.  After moving to Austin in 2007, they immediately found a community of like-minded talents eventually leading to their current incarnation which includes Will Vaughan on bass and vocals and Marc Randal Henry on drums and percussion.
